ccgeneral Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 CTC watched again last night. Pretty good from deep. @indianaelite: Indiana coach Tom Crean watched Crown Point’s Grant Gelon against Eagles. Gelon made five 3s in that game. IUsafety 1 Quote

maharkn Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Looks like he would be a Matt Roth type player Quote
Stuhoo Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Worrisome Old Friend would get his wish with Gelon, but I have questions: Could he improve enough to guard at a high level? Can he be a rotation player on a top 15 quality team? I'm good with grabbing a local Matt Roth-like specialist for the five-six player class we'll likely have in '16, but I'd be a lot better with it if he is the fifth or sixth to sign and we already have some complete players confirmed. Ibi Watson seems like a shooting specialist with far more upside. Napleshoosier and Alford Bailey 2 Quote
IU Bud Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Worrisome Why worried? I would expect him to be ranked after a good performance this summer. Quote

barrettballer Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 His game seems very similar to that of Jimmy King who graduated from Roncali. Great shooting stroke but the highlight reel doesn't show much more than that. Quote
ccgeneral Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 @KyleNeddenriep: Crown Point/Indiana Elite guard Grant Gelon (2016) will take unofficial visit to Indiana on Aug. 12. scots07, Happydaze and hoosierpap 3 Quote
Hovadipo Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Maybe first commit of 2016? Would be an underwhelming start to the class, in my humble opinion. Alford Bailey, WayneFleekHoosier and KelleyHoosh 3 Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 If he is a talented kid who will be here for four years with a chance to grow and develop, it wouldn't be the worst thing to add him. JaybobHoosier, mamasa, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote
Iufan2324 Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 If he can fill a zeisloft role in his 4 year period it's not a bad pick up. I am stoked at the chance to get to play against him this year with my highschool team. Class of '66 Old Fart, chicagoHOOSIER, Hoosier Roots and 4 others 7 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Most likely will be a kid Crean blows a scholly on who sees minimal playing time then transfers in a couple years. We HAVE to land multiple big fish in this class. More of our beloved coach just throwing around offers hoping something sticks. barrettballer 1 Quote
Jketch Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 If there isn't an offer could he be a preferred walk on? Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 If there isn't an offer could he be a preferred walk on? That makes the most sense of all. Ritchie is done. I bet you are right. Quote
Stuhoo Posted August 6, 2015 Author Posted August 6, 2015 Much more likely he would be a conditional offer...as in: "We are offering you a scholly spot, but we will not take your commitment quite yet." Quote
