Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Newkirks high school tape encourages me, but I spoke on Twitter with Brian Snow about him and he said he needs to work on consistency mainly. That's a big weak spot, but if we can get him to be consistent the talent is there. I'm excited for next year mainly cause there is so many unknowns right now. I fully trust Crean to put a B1G title contender together with whoever stays and goes. Kepner 1 Quote

I fully trust Crean to put a B1G title contender together with whoever stays and goes. That's why I think that Josh can be so good for next year. He has the talent, the skill, the shooting ability, and most importantly, the personal charisma, confidence, and intelligence. Consistency comes with time, and he now has had that too. Bowhunter Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 What's with the 7 years of varsity? Did he play as an 8th grader or did he repeat his high school years? Quote

Doesn't the school send out tweets on the November national signing day for each letter received? I would have thought we would have known he did not sign early. Quote

incrediboy Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I wonder if this guy is "The OG" of this class. Davis and Jones get a lot of hoopla, and Gelon is mentioned as the heir apparent to the Roth-Zeisloft-off-the-bench-3-shooter. But Green gets little mention from ESPN and others when analyzing this IU recruiting class. The fact that Shaka Smart offered him a scholarship at Texas makes me think he might be better than those 3 stars on his resume. mamasa and Crimson and Cream 2 Quote

Sadly I'm not expecting Gelon to be anything like NZ in the off the bench shooter role. Quote

Dalton26 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Can I ask why you don't expect him to be anything this? Seems like a decent comparison Because I don't think he'll be as good as NZ. Nothing I've seen/read about this kid makes me believe he'll be anything more than an end of the bench player that will likely transfer to a smaller school. Quote

But what I'm asking is why don't you think he'll be as good as Nick Z? Because he didn't put up big numbers? What have you read that would lead you to think he'll transfer? Quote
