Troy Williams returning to IU!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok I post in the TB thread about how we need him and hit refresh and he is a Hoosier. I post in the Troy thread and hit refresh...he is staying.

Thon, if you come to IU we can be a contender next year. What do you think?

Go post in the Thon thread and hit refresh. Maybe these things come in threes.

Seriously don't stop refreshing until it happens.

None of the main attractions are going anywhere. Not one is ready for the NBA. Stop the nonsense. We have people posting here that WANT people to leave because they hate Crean. These folks are not I.U. fans and they are detriment to our program. These folks wouldn't know a coach if John Wooden was here.

As one of the biggest Crean haters I'll admit that most of my posts in the past have bashed Crean... While I'm done with the bashing for this season, I think that blind optimism would worse than wanting a couple kids to leave so that Crean gets fired.

I would compare it to the cubs... They haven't won big in 100 years. IMO the upper management doesn't seem to care because they have such a loyal fanbase and no matter the outcome of the season, they show up cheer and always say "this is our year". Management doesn't care because they are making $$$... If the fans stopped showing up and demanded changes to be made, maybe they would have had at least 1 ship in the last 100 years.

If anyone has read a Jim Collins book (good to great, great by choice), they would be familiar with the Stockdale paradox; which is put simply, having blind optimism that everything is going to be great, but ignoring some glaring facts about the current situation can be detrimental to the long term outcome.

Hhmmm....  I have seen most of your posts, and all of them...every one, is critical of other posters.    And almost all include the word "nonsense."   Just wondering why you're so bitter and angry toward everyone else and claim they're not IU fans.

Knock the self-righteous bs off.

As expected. Lets get the focus back on Thon.

It's what I expected but it's hard to tell with the players now. Whether it be really bad advice from a family member/friend, or already failing classes and feel they have to go, or just scared of injury next season.

He needs to develop a very consistent and reliable jump shot from 21-22 feet, work hard on guarding long, athletic players, and keep improving what he does with the ball.   He's a pretty decent passer and certainly has the athletic ability, but there have been a ton of 6'9" athletes in college who never did anything in the NBA.  That's a man's league, and a great role model for Troy would be Paul George.   If I were TW, I'd seek PG out and work with him all summer.   They were relatively similar at this point (where TW is now) in their careers.

Troy has to develop his shot and his defense but I don't see a close resemblance between him and PG. Same height and similar build but their games are completely different. Even if Troy improves his jump shot, it will never be his go to move (like it is for PG). Troy will always rely on his athleticism. I know its an old comparison but he needs to look at Oladipo and make himself a taller version. Oladipo improved his jumper, but it isn't his go to move. Oladipo still uses his athleticism to make plays at the bucket
