End of year grade?

I give them a C .  We made the tournament but I felt that if if we had inkling of defense we could have easily had an A season

 

What grade would you give this year's team and what is your reasoning? I have a feeling we might apply a curve.

Looked like it was going to be pretty good, hit a wall and never got over it. At first looked like we would exceed expectations, then we played worse than expected, ended up being about what we thought we would be

I had prof Burns for Econ at IU and even though he was paranoid I did like his approach on grades at the end vs the beginning. He have more weight to the end because at that point we were putting everything together we had learned during the year. This was what he wanted from us. To improve weekly and layer ideas on top of ideas successfully so we could accomplish more.

Finishing the season the way we did this year shows me the team is not able to improve weekly at the same pace as our competition. This has been the case 3 years in a row and I looked back and under Creans watch only two teams have ended the season strong for him.

I rate the players separate from the coaching staff, because most of them are not grown men and are heavily influenced by what they are taught or not taught by the coaches. Many businesses are on a pay to perform system. Based on the nearly $4 million annual salary CTC makes with the resources he has at IU, I would give him a D- at year seven. I would give the players a B.

I thought the goal at the the beginning of the year would be NIT/ NCAA bid. Finished right where I thought we would. Just didn't like the roller coaster ride we took to get there.

Tied Crush at 9 & 9 for a middle of the pack performance in conference play. Then closed out the season with a lose to a Mid Major in the first round of the NCAA's. Unacceptable.
