theriverpilot Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I think the biggest thing we're all missing is that the move makes fashion sense- No need to change wardrobe. ^^^^THIS^^^^ This is the conspiracy buster right here! Quote
colonel06 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I thought he sounded like this could be the end on his radio show last night (Mon.) for thanking his supporters for the last 7 years and then a special, final sounding thanks to Fisch. Quote
Popular Post Kyleweberiu Posted March 17, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2015 If he does go to Alabama I hope he beats the cats twice a year for the whole time he's there...... Wishful thinking Happydaze, ALASKA HOOSIER, Alford Bailey and 8 others 11 Quote
theriverpilot Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 From reading a thread on the Alabama site, they'd love to have Crean. Several telling statements in one post on why Alabama fans would be happy with Crean - "Because he doesn't have to play Wisconsin, Michigan State, Ohio State, Maryland, Iowa and Purdue every night? Let's face it - the SEC isn't exactly a murderer's row of blue-blood teams with elite coaches. He also wouldn't be living under the microscope of a fan-base who think they're a 10 when they're really a solid 7. We don't really need him to have "more" success here than at Indiana. I'd settle for "as much." Some others... "We've qualified for one NCAA tournament in the last 9 years.I'd give the next coach one of my kids if he got us to a Sweet 16." "a sweet 16 every four years or so with making the tournament every year seems reasonable" southsidehoosier, IUsafety, FortWayneHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

We would've said the same thing about Bama's football fan base circa 2007-2008. Get this hire right and IU should be on a rocket ship. Parakeet Jones, IUsafety, Napleshoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Over on the 247 Bama site, they are arguing that they don't even want Crean. I can understand the sentiment of wanting to find an up and coming coach but they're crazy if they think they're going to pull in a coach with as much on his resume as Crean outside of taking the risk on a guy like Howland. They won't get a more accomplished coach than him. Quote
