coonhounds Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 someone that agrees with me, vonleh wasnt great at all to me, yes at times he was, but he got banged up bad in the BIG. All perea has to do this year is have some putbacks and rebound, we have enough perimeter game to cover our lack of post presence.I agree vonley was lazy at times he was r leading rebounder I believe but i think r guys can b just as tough on the boards this year its more about getting in position and out hustling can get a lot of boards FortWayneHoosier 1 Quote
Popular Post mdn82 Posted October 28, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 28, 2014 Guys keep this thread on Bryant. The other stuff is matter of opinion either way that has no reflection on this kid. If you guys want to have the discussion you are having, start a thread and go to town. Thanks IU Hoosier41, JaybobHoosier, Hutch89 and 5 others 8 Quote

Beowulf50 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Yeah it stinks all of these Great basketball schools get slapped on the wrist for violations they tried to hide while we pretty much received the death penalty self reporting minor stuff in comparrison. We are a great basketball school and the double standard drives me nuts. I hate the fact that when a school or someone in general try's to do what's right they are punished harder! scots07 and rebelhoosier848891 2 Quote
drewheck Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 yet two players can get in trouble for bumper stickers lol!!!you know they only did that cause iu is only an hour or so away from NCAA hq Quote
BGleas Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 There's not really a double standard. IU didn't get the death penalty from the NCAA, we got the death penalty from Kelvin Sampson. If his teams didn't have numerous failed drug tests and all the failing grades, Dakich and then Crean wouldn't have had to kick everyone out. We would have survived the probation just fine. If Sampsom had left good kids behind and we don't have too kick everyone out, Crean or whoever may have come aboard, would have had a decent team when they took over, and would have been able to better add to it in the '08 class or even convinced Ebanks and Holloway to stay. rebelhoosier848891 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I agree in part with both Beowulf50 and BGleas that it was both the NCAA and Sampson that worked us over and cost us a lot of wins--cost us better recruits---and caused us to go through that miserable rebuilding process! Call me jaded---but I don't think the Cuse or UNC will get much of anything. I will have to see it to believe it! Quote
AKHoosier Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 If we had Bryant and Perea next year... boy that would be special. You really think so? I thought that too, but then I realized there's 0 chance Tom Crean would put Bryant and Perea on the floor together at the same time. They're both 5s in his system, unless Hanner can be a "situational 4" if his jump shot really is enough of a threat. Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I think they could easily split time at the 5---but I don't see Perea at the 4 yet. Quote

I don't think they would share the court much unless on special occasions or certain matchups. They would split minutes, but I bet that Bryant would get a very fair share of them. special talent. WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I think our response to TB not visiting for HH says it all. I was crushed. So were thousands of other Hoosier fans. I think the staff has made him very aware of this fact. However my confidence level of landing TB is very low at this point. rebelhoosier848891 1 Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I'm actually feeling great with this one. Cuse is going to get torched on this investigation and it sounds as though it's down to us and Cuse. Someone else could always come in late, but I like our chances. rebelhoosier848891 1 Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Are they? I haven't really been following it...Ruling Monday? Quick summary? Here's a quick article summarizing the history of how the Committee on Infractions has dealt with academic fraud: http://www.syracuse.com/orangesports/index.ssf/2014/10/if_syracuse_is_found_guilty_of_academic_fraud_loss_of_scholarships_likely.html Listening to a few different CBB analysts as well, apparently you don't get called in front of this committee unless they've got something. Cuse already doesn't have a scholly for Bryant and they're probably going to lose a couple and face possible postseason suspensions. I was only stating opinion before, but I'm fairly confident this is going to result is some major issues for Cuse. IU Hoosier41, Napleshoosier, hoosierpap and 3 others 6 Quote
