Bryan Medema Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Is that pure conjecture, or have you heard/read that from a confirmed/reliable source? If so, not what I'm hoping to hear coming from an IU basketball coach.. I was there and I totally saw/heard this in between my 5th beer and 2nd flask. Scouts honor. Rookie33 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I'd like to think so too, but i'm afraid that it's not my opinion that he will be leaving, but rather some inside info. Getting Roth'd/Creek'd? Ridiculous. Quote

Popular Post hoosierpap Posted March 10, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2015 Thomas Bryant update UPDATED (3/10) Mike McAllister of CuseNation.com reported earlier today on ESPN Syracuse that Syracuse is still involved with Bryant. When the Orange announced the self-imposed postseason ban in February, they also self-imposed one scholarship for next season. It is uncertain whether Syracuse will follow through with the self-imposed scholarship ban, or whether the NCAA even accepted it. In the 94 page report, the NCAA accepted the postseason ban, but didn't mention the scholarship ban. If Syracuse upholds the self-imposement of the scholarship, SU would need two players to leave to make room for Thomas Bryant. If Syracuse chooses to disregard their internal scholarship ban, SU needs only one player to leave/transfer. Thomas Bryant to Syracuse isn't out of the question, but it would be difficult. The 5-star visited Indiana last weekend, and many believe IU took the lead in Bryant's recruitment. Thomas' mother, Linda Bryant, is still pushing her son towards Syracuse. Feathery Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Thanks for the update pap. crystal ball might be turning towards IU, but I won't believe it until he announces where he is going. I can see Cuse taking Bryant and starting the penalties this coming season. Why postpone it a year and make the damage longer term. Take a bunch of solid young guys and build it around them going forward. Quote

bnkepner Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Getting Roth'd/Creek'd? Ridiculous. From the sounds of it, Zeisloft came in with a one year plan. Will get his masters and be gone. He isn't getting pushed out of the program Quote

bnkepner Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I wonder if he's just waiting on our coaching uncertainty? He is probably still weighing everything that just happened to Syracuse and waiting to see how things go here. From the sounds of everything though, he is a heavy lean towards us. A week or two ago I had read that he was down to us and Syracuse even though Kentucky was still trying their best. Quote

Popular Post lelgar4 Posted March 11, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2015 Not sure if this has been posted or not but there's some interesting stuff in here. http://www.btpowerhouse.com/2015/3/11/8188225/does-indiana-lead-for-2015-4-star-center-thomas-bryant One thing that really stuck out was this quote from Yogi's dad, "Look, he ultimately wants to do great things for his school. He may be leaning toward coming back. There are a few factors. Getting a big man to play with may be one of those." Didn't really think Yogi leaving this year was a possibility until now.
