JaybobHoosier Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Booker T....Booker Thomas.....Thomas Bryant.....guys, it's a dead giveaway. 5 time 5 time 5 time 5 time 5 time WCW champion! Quote
HoosierHoops1 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Nope. Not because I don't think those players are very nice players, but because I've not seen enough of Tom's fingerprints on their development to think it would have make that much of a difference. At some point, Tom's ability to coach and develop talent has to be considered apart from that which one might reasonably expect from private practice and physical development. Best example that comes to mind was years ago, under Lou Henson at Illinois. He'd annually get some of the best talent out of the Chicago school system, and they'd often times, stay there four years, (this was before the advent of the "one and done" player). Four years later, those kids, many of which were burger boys, would be bigger, more physically imposing, and to a degree, fundamentally sound. Still, their overall game never achieved the level of success that everyone projected for them. Henson was legendary for taking four and five star players, and doing very little to develop them talents. I'm afraid Crean is cut out of the same mold, in this regard. I wasn't considering development. Just adding that talent to this team? Meaning "freshman" talent, which is what Bryant would bring. Quote
HoosierHoops1 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Anyway, I think this team would be real good, with Thomas Bryant. lillurk and Happydaze 2 Quote
cchoneycut Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Time to gather everybody and make Assembly Hall rocking on Saturday. Show Thomas Bryant why Hoosiers have the best fans in the nation and the best basketball culture in the world. We need momentum in our program and let's make it start Saturday. #HoosierGang (I'm jumping on board with that hashtag too) ALASKA HOOSIER, Happydaze, lillurk and 1 other 4 Quote
8bucks Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 If Bryant is going to make a decision this spring, this would be the last time to see IU play at home. I suppose he is up to date on the uncertainty but it is possible that Martin is retained and maybe he realizes this is something he should see in person. CR3AMnCR1MS0N and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

drewheck Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Bryant's a job saver for crean a legit big man and the talent we already have could be dangerous Quote
HoosierReb01 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I don't think that's correct. Well, sort of. As I read it they can delay loss of scholarships for a year if the financial agreements have already been made for those individual scholarships. Basically, committed prospects do not have to find another home. Things are different for Thomas Bryant. You well could be right, I didn't read into it any farther than the article went. Quote
SWEETLEMONbrown Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I'll be there early HoosierHoops1, JaybobHoosier, IUsafety and 1 other 4 Quote

Hoosier2014 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Hmm. What if Je'Ney was pulling a quick one on Crean and mentioning the whole time how Kansas would be better. Quote
bnkepner Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Hmm. What if Je'Ney was pulling a quick one on Crean and mentioning the whole time how Kansas would be better. He works with the Kansas football team and he was wearing his IU gear and FREAKING out when we were hitting shots. Je'Ney looked like the most excited person during the game. Doubt he was recruiting for Kansas underneath it all. Come on people maxwell, 8bucks, lillurk and 4 others 7 Quote
