Some people might be tired of jabs at Knight. You have no problem with one group, but tried to rally the mods to end the other. That seemed overly sensitive and hypocritical to me.

Whatever, I don't care enough. It just seems weird that you'd get so upset at one but not the other.

I mentioned one was warranted? I brought up the mods because I was honestly asking if their were mods on this site, I didn't know. Maybe should have just said it in another post. But, basically.. we defend BK even though he choked a kid and won't come back to IU.. and we throw CTC under the bus because he lost too many games? Eesh

Fwiw you won't find many people on here who actually defend what RMK did. There was a big debate a while back on the RMK topic. Lol

On any topic we don't really curb talk unless it gets personal between two members or extremely off topic. If a mod is involved(I've been guilty of it many times) the other mods will call them on it. But for the most part we just try to let everyone have fun and talk about all thinks IU or sports related.

I've always wondered and since it was brought up, what exactly is the "Toon Squad"? 

Also is everything good with Hovadipo? I haven't seen much from him on here this summer.

Originally I think the intent was like Jr mods or something along those lines. But I don't look at there really being any difference anymore.

Also I know Hova checks in but he popped the question a while back so I'm sure he's extremely busy and with it being the offseason he's probably just getting everything in order.. I'll reach out and check on him.

Another angle to the RMK vs. CTC debate. I don't think there was any sales behind RMK's recruiting. You knew you were going to get thrown to the wolves but come out a better person. Was that true with CTC? It seems there were a lot of players that didn't have the whole picture when they signed to play for him.

Just a thought.

Knight didn't have to sell himself; his results spoke for themselves. Coaches who have to talk about coaching an NBA All-Star and going to a Final Four over a decade ago are usually the ones who are getting their butts kicked on the recruiting trail and whine about successful coaches waking up on third base thinking they hit a triple.

Did Knight care about getting players to the NBA? He doesn't strike me as someone who would give a crap about that, but I wasn't around so I don't know. That's one thing that really irritated me about Crean. I get that the times are different now than they were then, but it almost seemed like Crean was more focused on developing players for the NBA than he was winning games for IU.

Dalton answered it I believe. He said it was originally meant to be like jr mods but that fell through.

Lol yep. Originally, it was a Natty and Jaybob idea (They were ones with access to make that title change). They wanted to bring on more mods on a trial basis. If someone were batshit crazy they would be able to get rid of that access easily and quick.
