Interesting stat in Sports Illustrated.

Looking at Freshman (14 seasons) they consider a valuable starter someone who plays 50% of teams minutes with an offensive efficiency rating- adjusted for usage rate and defensive strength of schedule of 110.

Top 10 --- 76 % meet criteria
11-20------ 40% meet
21-50----- 24% meet
51-100----13% meet.

Sophomore leap for ranked recruits averages a bump of 5 ppg. For juniors and seniors 2.5 ppgs.

Doesn't factor in defense but interesting nonetheless.

POY? Thomas Bryant? James Blackmon Jr? OG?

Who is your favorite pick?

Hopefully a player from our team, which beat a top five team this week, not someone who had a game against Grand National Park. Unless I misunderstood and POY stands for Pop Out Your-leg.

Now relax, they also had to beat the Marist Rik Smits' the night before. All that sugar and starch can do wonders on a body....

As we head onto playing Lowell and an evangelical school.

I'm pretty sure that is not what I meant but I would consider those three but at this point it is early in the season and I have a guilty pleasure of going with the favorites.

The Illini trail 33-31 at half to what has to be the best team in Kentucky...Northern Kentucky.

Check out their non-con schedule…cupcake city. They're even playing a D-2 team this week.

Actually, after that D-II game, their schedule is half decent; which means they'll get their lunch handed to them.

Detroit, Winthrop, W Virginia, FSU/Temple, NC State, VCU, IUPUI, C Michigan, BYU, and Mizzou.

Our top games are better, but our lows border playing D-II schools.
