I was happy with the Maryland loss.  They have won a lot of games playing to the level of their competition and it finally caught up with them. We need to avoid that same mistake this weekend versus Minny.

I get that. What I don't like is that it will encourage kids who otherwise wouldn't consider the draft to give it a shot and see how the combine and practice goes.

A thought I just had on this: If the kid that wasn't going to otherwise consider the draft is going to try this out, who says he would get an invite to the combine/try-out in the first place? I don't think the combine and team try-outs are typically open to just anyone, so maybe that would make this not quite as drastic of a move. I see it helping out the Yogi's of last season more than anything. Guys that are on the NBA side of the fringe, but not quite ready as opposed to guys who have no business checking in on the NBA in the first place. Idk. Just some late night thoughts.

That's a good point. When do invitations go out to the 63? Might the NBA expand the combine because they might have more attendees not going on to the draft? And does that matter?

Walton drives me crazy. I want the commentators to compliment the game. Tell me something about strategy, history of the coaches, players, the school. If I want to know about Bora Bora or some other place he's visited, I'll google it. Personally, I would like to see him do a broadcast with Dakich. Now that could be entertaining.
