woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Ehh we lost by 30 to a program many people can't point to on a map. I all seriousness, what does it matter how small their campus is and whether or not fans can point to it on the map. It's not like they are boundaried small high school who can't recruit and have a very good team once in a great while. They can recruit and have done so very well and have become a very good ball club. They have been good for years. Yea, I'm not happy we lost, but being condescending to the other team is wrong.Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk thebigweave and cchuntsman 2 Quote

He went to a Final Four last year, so he's proven he can win big there. Everyone there likes him. Houston is about to join the Big12, a conference that he knows well. I have no inside knowledge. I'm just curious why he'd make that move. Is LSU offering a lot more money? lillurk and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote
Hovadipo Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Would’ve never guessed this with Willard’s popularity. I should add…this comparison is made because Willard to Maryland is nearly confirmed and Holloway is the favorite to replace him. lillurk, OliviaPope40 and IUc2016 3 Quote

Talked to a pretty smart guy on Thursday who had the Drinkwitz hire a week before it was announced and he was convinced Mizzou wouldn’t move on anyone until they could talk to Matt McMahon. But Gates would, of course, be a terrific hire. lillurk and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote

How did he do this? When asked about the Maryland job by the media this was his response: “I’ll give you exactly what I can tell you,” he said. “I have an agent who I haven’t talked to yet. LamarCheeks Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Guess URI learned a lesson from us. Archie's buyout is $1 million. Saw another story saying IU saves $3M by Archie getting the new gig. Makes me wonder: Does that money go back to the boosters who picked up the tab, or does it go into some general fund -- athletic or otherwise? OliviaPope40 and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote

Probably an under appreciated benefit of his NBA career is that Woody has been banged around by media and fans his entire career. Dude’s just not gonna take the bait. Most of these guys at that level are Nathan Jessup-types who are dying to say, “You’re g******ed right I did!” They can’t help themselves. Hovadipo 1 Quote
