Some Purdue fans have been calling for Edey and Williams to be on the court at the same time. Painter tried it some the second half tonight and Michigan beat them downcourt repeatedly. Quote

TheWatShot Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 5:26 mark to 4:03 in the second half was a comical sequence. 3 straight wide open treys for Michigan sandwiched around 2 Purdue turnovers. Quote
Uspshoosier Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Michigan jumped 20 spots in Ken Pom. Now 27 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Loyola Marymount up 12 at half against BYU. Was not long ago that it wasn't a matter of if BYU was a tourney team, rather where would they be seeded. Four straight losses heading into tonight has moved them from 17-4 to 17-8. And a loss tonight would put them at 5-6 in the WCC. Quote

Villanova should’ve beat them but couldn’t hit an open three to save their life. I’m still shocked we beat them because by all accounts it should be a bad matchup for us. I could see Purdue making a push for the FF depending on draw. I could also see them easily losing the first weekend to a midmajor with decent shooters. Their run will be dependent on draw more than anyone else’s. Stuhoo 1 Quote

My biggest fear come March isn't whether we get in or not, it's Purdue and Kentucky being on opposite sides of the bracket. B/c that's not at all an inconceivable national championship game. thebigweave 1 Quote
Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 According to the Kenpom Rule only 10 schools are title contenders... These are the only 10 with Top 10 offenses and defenses. 1. Gonzaga 2. Arizona 3. Kentucky 4. Houston 5. Baylor 7. Auburn 8. Duke 9. Villanova 12. UCLA 15. Illinois As for some other Big Ten schools... 10. Purdue- #1 offense, #126 defense 17. Iowa- #4 offense, #109 Iowa 21. Ohio State- #6 offense, #128 defense 25. Michigan State- #31 offense, #50 defense 41. Indiana- #108 offense, #15 defense RaceToTheTop 1 Quote

Purdue is 0-4 when they don't score 70 points. That's not a recipe for going on a six game winning streak in the tournament. Quote

They easily could in some others. Just depends what each one values. Also shows you that none of the teams lower have really done anything to be moved up. If the bubble stays like this IU is probably 3 games away from making the field. IU’s most important stretch will probably be Maryland, @Minny, Rutgers (especially if Rutgers keeps winning). Yep, although would definitely like to move up the cut line a little bit to give some space for stolen automatic bids. Can do that either in the regular season or the BTT. If IU were to only win three more, they'd be 10-10 in conference and probably be in something like the 8/9 game in the BTT. Would matchup with someone like Iowa, Rutgers, or God forbid, Michigan. As it ended up, Michigan had to play Purdue two days after playing a decent length road game. Michigan was at Penn State Tuesday. mamasa 1 Quote
