Diamond Head Classic begins today.  I always liked it as a stand-alone tournament during Christmas.  Not as strong of field as some of the Thanksgiving tournaments but still fun to watch

 Both teams were hitting.  Texas A&M CC was 60% from 3 at one point

Liberty up 11 on N Iowa with 7:36 to go in first game of diamond head.   N Iowa is definitely one of my most disappointing teams for this year

Liberty hangs on.  N Iowa had a chance to win it at the buzzer and Green missed the shot.

Green Bay(coached by Bo Ryan’s son)  up 1 at Minny.     Minny hit a 3 at the end of the half but they called it off for still being in his hand.  It was close

Usually these rivalry games  are good for a teams resume.  Not in Illinois case.  Missouri is 239 in the NET.   Good for a Q4 win if Illinois wins and disaster if they some how lose it.     To put that in perspective.  Only Northern Kentucky, Merrimack and N Illinois are lower then 239 all of IU’s other non conference games would be considered better wins. Lol.  That’s bad

I was just about to post this. Pretty incredible how terrible he has been at Georgia. I thought for sure he could do something there. Now I’m wondering if he makes it past this season? No excuse for those types of losses

Why would he succeed anywhere? He’s a bad coach who has gotten worse over time instead of better.

There is about a 1% chance he makes it past this year.
