Whether it be the one and done rule continuing to take its toll, kids being more encouraged to leave early, conference realignment, the increase in transfers, no great teams, big time programs like Indiana, UCLA or UNC not being great, the shoe scandal etc. It’s been spiraling over the years. Just part of it as the talent leaves and things. Eventually it’ll plateau. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Exactly. It's possible to adore the sport at the same time recognizing it needs cleaning up in the worst way. IUBB is my favorite sports team by far and I'll support them forever, but it's frustrating we haven't been consistently competitive due to the rampant cheating going on in the sport. We should have had freakin' Donovan Mitchell but Adidas had him go to Louisville. It's hard not to argue the sport is fixed. To add to your post though, officiating and the constant reviews in the final 2 minutes really takes the fun out of a lot of the sport. It's normal for the last 1 minute of a game to take over 10 minutes to play out. Deserthoozier, WayneFleekHoosier, Ranger78 and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Not sure how that is an extreme example. You can find those in multiple venues. California has the highest tax rate by far...I wouldn't say the state of California is lacking in NBA titles. In the last ten years, four NBA champions have come from Texas and Florida combined. Five have come from California. I certainly understand your point and agree that the NBA should address it. I just think that it is a big of factor for the top players as is the ability to make endorsements. You don't exactly see players flocking to play in Orlando whose tax rate is the same as Miami. Never said it would cause players to flock but never would have had the heat super team without the tax rate. Quote
Popular Post BGVille Hoosierfan Posted December 28, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 28, 2019 Wisconsin up 14 AT Tennessee at the half. Tennessee should probably go ahead and fire Rick Barnes at halftime. Unacceptable to be losing to the worst team in college basketball...AT HOME nonetheless. NOLA Hoosier Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Maybe too early, but so far this is looking like a low-scoring slugfest. Quote
Demo Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Brooks getting away with an obvious foul at the rim followed immediately by Richards getting a call on Williams while backing him out of bounds. U of L being massively homered early. BGleas 1 Quote

Also something about all that blue just initiates my gag reflex... Quote

Ranger78 Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 It would be great if both teams could loose. I actually have more respect for UK’s program. UofL is a cesspool. Or maybe they’ve just been caught more recently... not that it matters... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Hoosier1984 Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 If this was the normal talented UK roster of years past, Brooks wouldn’t see a minute on the floor.
