And has to do with what exactly?   Anything that Sampson had besides the recruiting violations Crean had worse and people weren’t calling for him to be fired because of it.

Sampson had a five year show-cause after IU fired him.  So if we are factually talking about how many banners we would have had if we hadn't fired him, the answer would be zero.  It's important to remember that Sampson came to IU with that baggage, it wasn't simply that he had made improper calls here.  The five year show cause wasn't in a vacuum -- he was deemed a serial offender as he had previous issues.

Had we supported Sampson and not self reported history could be very different
