That looked like a Tom Crean team trying to inbound the ball against a press. Seriously, that is the worst pass you can make in that situation. A soft, floating pass that hangs in the air like that is just what the defense wants.

 

The MSU-Michigan winner on Saturday is guaranteed a share of the title now.

Honestly this years bubbles so bad that if one fringe team loses another one wins to keep their tourney hopes alive. Usually by this time the bubble has less teams for other bubble teams to worry about. Right now there are just too many bubble teams. IU doesn’t need to worry about other teams. They have to keep winning. If at the end of the day they are near the cut line with enough wins they will leapfrog almost any else near them with their quality of wins

I don't know why Painter gets the respect on here that he does.  He's Purdoo's Tom Crean.

He gets respect from me because I like the way he runs his program. He knows his strengths and he gets his teams to play hard. Guy lost 4 1000 point scorers last year and has put his team in position to share the B1G regular season. Sure they might get bounced in the first weekend but he seems to get the most out of the players he coaches. Really nice guy and approachable. Ran into him at a center grove game and talked some ball with him

He’s probably about to share the Big Ten title starting more guys sub 350 than top 100. 

The guy is a great coach if he would play the game of recruiting they would be incredibly scary. 

They have won 2/3s of their conference games 5 straight years. That is the opposite of Crean.

That’s because your over simplifying it. Just like the people who said Jay Wright was a bad coach. 

Painter has 2 big ten titles. But he’s been over .500 in the big ten 10 out of the last 12 years. Crean only pulled the feat off 3 out of 9.

Am I?  Those stats you provided show mediocrity to me.  His post season stats show less than mediocrity.  He may be a nice approachable guy, but I don't get his coaching results.
