WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 26, 2025 Posted February 26, 2025 Cincy beats Baylor. I hope Scotty D's agreement with Scotty D isn't set in stone. I know it’s crazy, and I admit it, but Drew isn’t very exciting for me. Age, upside, momentum. Idk. I think I like it better than Cronin, but not by much. Jeff Flabjohns Posted February 26, 2025 Posted February 26, 2025 Providence and South Carolina getting their doors blown off again tonight. Pretty cool that our two non-con P5 wins turned out to be vs dogsh*t teams. I can’t be mad if the committee leaves us out, even at 19-12, 10-10 WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Idk. That would last until he flipped whichever 5 star he is going to land this cycle or Wright follows him to Bloomington and then you will be ready to run through a wall for him. The last 8 years we had to put up with we might not know what to do with a coach with that resume. Otzelberger is my number 1 but Drew is up there as well cybergates, str8baller, Muskie plays the four and 1 other 4 Quote

Gonna have to capitalize immediately. IDK. I liked the move better 4 years ago. New car smell is wearing off. But like most, I’m easily sold with wins. I think McCasland has huge upside from the underheralded. Otzelberger is promising with his youth. Not sure he has that Oats type ceiling though. Part of me would like to see McCollum could do.But I think we need someone that knows the recruiting world and has some clout there. That’s why Oats is my guy. Fun offense, amazing recruiting, wins, etc. He checks every box for me. Pay him 8 mill a year if Stevens is theoretically worth 8-10. He was not in my short list to be hired by IU. I was shocked. Wondered if he could make it in the pressure cooker of IU. Could he recruit? He did motivate his team in Dayton to play like a team. The sum was greater than the parts. He did not get the support at IU from the administration that Coach Woody got. Archie could not get his arms around the individuals that he got stuck with at IU. Some of the players did not want to work hard on defense. They did not get assists. The point guards could not get the ball into play. No one moved. The administration did not help. Archie had to go. For whatever reason. It was totally phukd. Some of the same problems are experienced since Woody got here. But Woody had TJD. But now some of the team does not want to be here or work. Woody has refused to get that corrected until just a few later games in the 2nd half. Can't get some bigs clogging up the inside at the detriment of a fluid offense and great defense. PS. No I'm not just from Dayton. I graduated from IU when we went undefeated. My whole immediate family loves IU. Am from Evansville Bosse. But I have been around. After going to IU/Business...also went to Wisconsin...still cheering for IU at each game. tyappleg 1 Quote

Just kidding (the campus is beautiful) but growing up as an IU fan I lived in Milwaukee from ages 9-18, so Wisconsin is on par with Purdue for me for my most hated rival team. (Ironically enough, IU also took a coach from a local team while I lived in Milwaukee) Currently live in Evansville myself (but didn't move here until after college) Also went to IU, my senior year was 2012-2013, so I really thought I had a chance to experience a NC while attending (and then Syracuse happened). Here's to hoping the next guy can get it going. Dave from Dayton 1 Quote
