Did this Diamond Head Classic used to be the Rainbow Classic?

Different tourneys.   The classic went to basically mid major teams only by the end of its run.    I think it stopped last year or the year before if I’m remembering right

Sucks for them that Mack is out indefinitely with mono.

Too bad for IU, too, since they might lose some games without him that they'd otherwise win.

I hope he is back before they play Princeton who is rated super highly in the NET. Gotta pull for Harvard in that one, but I do tend to root for Princeton otherwise. They've got this sophomore guard who plays just like Mack - Xaivian Lee... who will totally exploit Harvard without him. If they make the tournament again this year, which I think they will, you'll hear his name a lot. He is tiny compared to IU guys but his perimeter scoring/playmaking vs. what we see from IU really stood out to me when I saw them live earlier this year...

Watching Louisville get absolutely destroyed at home by UK with the crowd 60% Kensucky fans is really interesting. In a “car crash/horror movie” way, yet interesting nonetheless.

UK by 26 early in the second half

#0 James has been visibly frustrated in the huddles and pretty clearly blowing off whatever KP has to say. His teammates trying to keep him in check. As you said... like a car crash

I see archie is about to lose his sixth in a row and drop to 5-7. He is just a really bad coach.

There’s a lesson there about coaches who step into decent programs and just maintain the success. Honestly Crean wasn’t much different. One tourney run can be a fluke in many cases.

Yep and crean was bad at Georgia also though that's probably harder to win at Georgia vs Rhode Island. A good coach should be able to kill it at a place like Rhode island. Last year he was 9-22

Crean was up and down at IU.

Archie was just down.

How in the world did Archie Miller win so many games at Dayton?

A better question is how did Oliver Purnell? He’s the one that turned them around. Gregory and Archie more or less kept that going.

None of those guys have done anything outside of Dayton. But Purnell did most of the heavy lifting there.
