RaceToTheTop Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Louisville currently 11 of 21 from three and shooting 58% overall. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Khristain Lander....is still Khristain Lander. Looking absolutely horrible right now. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Just as I post about him, Lander comes to life. 8 points in short order including back-to-back threes. Louisville still up 13 at 77-64 with 7:15 left. Quote
MikeRoberts Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 UofL blows, I saw the in-game odds were incredibly in their favor so I threw some money down on western Kentucky and then tuned in to see Lander catch a ball out of bounds and I knew I was f’d ALASKA HOOSIER, Redcamaro and go iu bb 3 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Louisville going to get their first win. Up 88-78 with 1:12 left. The Cardinals shot really well -- 13 of 25 from three and 54% overall. But I see why they are bad.....they usually shoot poorly and they don't play a lick of defense. Quote

But to me... was this model truly ever sustainable? I just don't see that it is. 15 years from now... we are still going to be asking these same boosters to pony up or they don't get to see their favorite QB? Just seems that is going to get old after awhile. Quote

From what I understand, most coaches were just going to try to survive the initial wave of NIL where everyone was going to want/get something. Then, like everything else, water finds its level and it goes right back to the haves (5-stars, elite schools) and the have nots (everyone else). I just didn't see water beginning to find its level less than 2 years in lol. CSP 1 Quote

I think as a teammate... it'd be pretty hard to see someone make 400K or whatever and you are getting nothing. Hovadipo 1 Quote

I worked for 20 some years for several companies where my boss made a boat load more than me. He was the leader of the team. He had earned his place. If you don't like it as a team member, then you either need to work harder, and smarter, or go find a job where you're the leader. raorIU and Joe_hoopsier 1 1 Quote

I didn't think these were jobs? I thought they were just mistreated student-athletes? I am all for making these jobs. Contract the players, pay them a salary, and let's regulate. They better start performing though.. or they should be fired. I don't see what your example means in regard to this topic at all. QB gets paid 400K for example, do you think that Center or Left guard that protect him are getting paid that? But sure, they should just suck it up and accept that?... I thought that is what these players couldn't handle in the first place. Confusing times. Quote

That doesn't really seem to be a component at all and instead it's just used as a way to legally do what they were doing illegally before and contract mercenaries. Idk I knew this was all going to get stupid and it didn't take long at all for that to be true. There has to be some way to regulate all of this but if it's up to the NCAA then there's no point in even trying. I want athletes to have options and to be compensated for their NIL but I hate what college athletics has become. Be interesting what takes place with all of this in the future.Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk CSP 1 Quote
