woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I’ve never understood why fans like him and networks hire him. There aren’t enough drugs on the planet to make him tolerable. It’s clear all his colleagues can’t stand him either. Utter nonsense and rambling for two hoursI 1,000,000% agreeSent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Couple interesting takeaways from the Utah/Kentucky game. Cal scheduled this game in Vegas so his team would be familiar with the arena before they play OSU on Saturday. Usually when Kentucky plays anybody they probably are the youngest team on the court. Not in this game. Including Walk-ons, Utah has 11 freshman, 4 sophomores, 1 junior and 1 senior. I haven’t done it yet but it would be interesting to compare the freshman rankings of each team just for fun. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners BGVille Hoosierfan and southsidehoosier 2 Quote

Gach and Hall had great games for Utah. They were the tougher and more disciplined team for most of the game. They had a few stretches where they had a rash of turnovers and poor defense. Good win for the Utes. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app southsidehoosier 1 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Do it! Do it! Do it!Won’t be able to get to that today. Busy parcel day at work and when I get home from work it’s straight to movies with the family to watch Frozen 2. At least this will be new. NOLA Hoosier Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 RE: UK's loss (and other big losses this season), last year during the tournament, I had a kind of an epiphany. I felt like there was a major paradigm shift starting to take place in the NCAA. The pendulum is starting to swing the other way a little bit in regards to these huge dominant programs, and this season is kind of proving the theory. I'm not sure what's changed really, it's just the feeling of "this can't last forever" is starting to become true. Not to sound all hippie-dippie, just something in the air. Maybe I'm totally wrong. AKHoosier Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I'm starting to think Brooks wasn't that big of a miss after all. I'm struggling to find one thing he does well. He's got size, but he can't shoot well especially from 3. His defense isn't particularly strong either, there was a point last night where that one white kid was able to hit a 3 right in front of him because he didn't fight through screen at all. I think we would have been frustrated with him this year if he came here. yogisballin 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Utah could hit shots and UK couldn’t. UK still almost won on athleticism alone, but boy do they miss some shooters. And I am happy about it. Announcers still drool over UK sending guys to the NBA so they will continue to pull studs. I’d say roster management is a problem for Calipari more often than it should be. Get 2 or 3 shooters, with his typical athletic point guard. He has had Herro, Booker that jump to mind but they aren’t known for their shooters. Unfortunately for him, he chose the school with the coach who won't think twice about recruiting over him. He could have came here and starred with his buddied TJD and Franklin for a couple years and then heading to the NBA, but instead he's a role player at Kentucky. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
