I know the argument is a matter of philosophy. But now that I’ve gotten to watch Belmont and Murray for a couple of nights, there is no argument that 1 of them should get an at large bid over mid pack majors like IU or Bama or Georgetown based on actual quality. An assistant coach went to an AAU event to watch a different player in the higher level AAU league. Kid ended up not playing. That coach didn’t want to waste a trip so he went into one of the side gyms where the lower level leagues were playing. Morant was destroying everyone. After game he called the head coach and told him to drop everything and watch him. Offered him after he watched him.
