The announcers in the Northwestern-UVA game just described Thijs de Ridder of UVA as “the 21 year old true freshman.” Since that little factoid could have been prefaced by, “Hey Demo, we’re gonna pi$$ you off now” I was forced to check and the kid turns 22 in January.
I swear to God. What are we doin’?

Just wait until Matt Painter starts harvesting 22 year old freshmen that become 26 year old fifth/sixth year seniors. In addition to his fetish for foreign skyscrapers, he also loves having old teams. It's only a matter of time before he finds a way.

While I am well aware that transitive game comparisons are faulty, it is nevertheless notable that:

Central Connecticut State beat Rugters by 13 tonight

Central Ct St lost to Quinnipiac 71-49 this month, and

Quinnipiac lost to Yale 98-60 this month.

Cincinnati is a good basketball team. They lost to Louisville tonight by 10, but lost their best player Baba Miller for the last 10 minutes or so due to injury. Louisville guard play is excellent. We are going to struggle mightily with their speed and athleticism.

Jury is still out on Cincy for me.   Miller has yet to make an ncaa tourney while be at Cincy.  Make or break year for him.  I think he is a good coach just hasn’t put it all together there
