It just proves you were better than San Diego State. 

You could've won by 100 points -- that still doesn't necessarily mean you deserved an NCAA bid.

It proves the exact same thing as a 13 beating a 4. You were better than that team on that night and that’s it. It remains ridiculous that they got a bid, though in retrospect I’m ok with it for some strange reason.

SDS looked horrible.  I think the first 10 teams out of the tournament could have beat them last night.
