KingPG21 Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Over/under 5 close games the league rigs to get the Nicks as far as they can. At 2 now Quote

KingPG21 Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Speaking of horrendous calls. The Brunson body checking a dude and getting the call overturned was one of the funnier overturns in a long time. League is gonna will the Knicks as far as they can. Quote
TheWatShot Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 It was funny how after the Pacers got up by 9 in the 4th the officials suddenly starting seeing every foul away from the ball. Easiest way for an official to flip the momentum is to call a foul off the ball that no one is watching. WayneFleekHoosier, Napleshoosier, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote
KingPG21 Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 At what point is the league gonna address Brunson being a smaller James Harden? Dude spends o much time just leaping into defenders and getting calls. Its pretty egregiously bad. Dude is a megaflopper Napleshoosier, thebigweave and Loaded Chicken Sandwich 3 Quote

Its pretty hilarious. I guess when you got Brunson flopping all over the place its hard not to call a foul Quote
Banksyrules Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Knicks fan here. Good game guys (slowly backs out slowly and slowly closes the door) BtownStrength 1 Quote

BtownStrength Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Knicks-Pacers gonna be an incredible series based off game 1. Wolves putting the absolute clamps on Denver in Q1. Love playoff basketball. Quote
Banksyrules Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 I think from a Knicks perspective the only way we beat you is if we take it in 5. We just don’t have the depth to play like this for the whole series. Bogey got injured in the 76ers series and Randal is our for the season. Also Mitchel Robinson is not the type of big that is good for this type of series. Quote

BtownStrength Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Michael Malone storms onto the court and gets into the face of a ref. No tech. Jamal Murray throws a heat pack onto the court of a live ball situation. No tech. Ref fans eating well tonight. thebigweave 1 Quote
Napleshoosier Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Disappointing. I thought the Pacers were going to take this one. Pretty much got a hose job! thebigweave 1 Quote
BtownStrength Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Not sure his name has got much run in this thread, but Timberwolves assistant and IU grad Micah Nori is phenomenal and deserves a HC gig soon. J34 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Oh I forgot about the kicked ball that wasn’t. How is a kicked ball not reviewable. Took a Pacers transition away and turned into a Knicks 3 J34 and thebigweave 2 Quote
Josh Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 I didn't watch a minute of the game, but I looked at the score on my phone every 15 minutes or so as I was watching hockey. In a game the Pacers seemed to be leading at every score update, I knew the refs would make sure New York won. Then I saw the highlights when it was over. If anybody is surprised that the reffing went the way it did favoring the large market team then you don't follow the NBA. It is clearly the worst reffing in sports to script games towards big market teams. Completely unsurprising outcome. It's why I can't watch. The NBA is rigged. thebigweave and J34 2 Quote
Stuhoo Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 FWIW... I watched the game without a rooting interest. Okay... I was slightly hoping for a Pacers win but also hoping that OG was fantastic (he was). Until I read this thread, I had no idea that anyone would have considered the refs as especially notable. There were a few reviewed and reversed calls; that's why replay exists. Other than that? As a neutral watcher I gave the refs no thought when I turned the tv off. LIHoosier, J34, Scotty R and 3 others 3 3 Quote
