We had mid 50s today. Low of 1 tomorrow night. High 40s on Friday. If you don't like the weather in Indiana, stick around another day... it'll change.
This winter and this IU basketball season have gone hand in hand…they've both sucked and they've been going on forever.
And I can't even slide in a purdue joke for finishing last in the conf cuz they tore us a new butthole in Mackey

Oh I'll still make fun of them for finishing dead last in football and basketball in conference.  Almost on cue, Purdue fans will respond "We WHOOPED you guys this year!"  to which I always respond "Is that your determining factor on a good season then?  Good try little brother"

I'd MUCH rather lose to Purdue and finish 8th in conference than beat Purdue and finish dead last.  Our season success isn't determined by beating up on little brother or not.  They seriously are making fun of themselves when they respond that way.

The unfortunate thing to me is that we are spending any time at all on these issues.  I realize it's reality but certainly these type of conversations drift their way back to the team at least indirectly.  This is a distraction to the mission at hand and as someone mentioned in above comments, the coaching staff needs to do everything in their collective power to foster that "family" feeling and work to improve the chemistry on the team moving forward.

As far as chemistry goes, I'll share what I've heard:

There are some great relationships on this team. The freshman LOVE the freshman (Luke & Collin kind of left out but hang with AE). The sophomore class LOVES the sophomore class. Our juniors and seniors aren't really classes at this point anymore.

There are plenty of great relationships, but they seem to stick to their class more often than not. THAT is the main difference between our old team and this one.

Exactly what I was told as well. The classes stick together away from practice. At the beginning of the year, there was no cross-class relationships...I hope that has changed. Not digging on Crean, but I know that part of his recruiting talk is about family...we need that atmosphere back to really, really become a force in my opinion. Divided teams find more ways to lose than win.

Ellenson is a 4 and Fischer a 5, I'm guessing they see the floor together. Not sure what their guard situation is like but they will extremely good inside.

Yeah just looked into it more and Fischer is the only guy on their roster above 6'7"
