AZ Hoosier Posted August 26 Posted August 26 1 hour ago, Class of '66 Old Fart said: My family and I could really use some prayers and comforting words. My wife of 57 years and 3 days is in the St. Vincent ICU and the prognosis is not good. She was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in May and started chemo immediately. AML is an aggressive form of cancer that attacks your white blood cells — your immune system. She was hospitalized 15 days in late June battling a bacterial infection. Her immune system sucks even worse than PUke football and last weekend she developed another infection. Her body is making a goal line stand but not sure it will be strong enough. Thank you. You and Mrs Old Fart are definitely in my prayers. Praying for full healing for her, and comfort and peace for you both. There's lot of love around this place for you and yours, and I am sure it's all headed your way this morning. Class of '66 Old Fart, jermhoosierfan, rayl456 and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted August 28 Posted August 28 It is with a heavy and broken heart to tell you my wife of 57 years was unable to mount a goal line stand sufficient to withstand the onslaught of leukemia and passed peacefully in the wee hours of this morning with her family at her side. I am truly grateful to my btb family for your support. Hovadipo, AZ Hoosier, hoosierdogg and 11 others 14 Quote
