I’m not optimistic we see him anytime soon either. And even if we do Cig mentioned he’s only practiced about 20% of the time since he’s been here. What impact can we expect him to make at this point? Hoosier987 Posted Saturday at 04:10 PM Posted Saturday at 04:10 PM Out of curiosity, have we heard anything more on the timeline of Martin returning other than “mid-season?” Quote

Magnanimous Posted Saturday at 04:54 PM Posted Saturday at 04:54 PM Aiden Chiles was a problem for us last year as well. We may not look as good this season but (1) last year’s roster was the greatest team of all time :{ and (2) Seeing truly great teams will continue to be a rarer occurrence going forward. Teams don’t have depth anymore. We’re still one of the more talented and balanced teams in the country. Just need to iron out some details. Brass Cannon 1 Quote

Regardless, good news is he and Turbo appear not to have season ending injuries. We need to hold serve and hope our 4th Rb steps up behind Bebee until Martin and Turbo come back (I.e., Martin last year). skhoosier2 1 Quote

Hovadipo Posted Saturday at 06:30 PM Posted Saturday at 06:30 PM Even getting Turbo back pre-OSU on a strict 7-10 play pitch count would be nice just to give Beebe a blow. Otherwise I’d expect to see them try out some out-of-the-box stuff with the WRs. Either way the ball is going to be in the air more until the RB room is back to at least 2 guys. Henry Ohlinger was a hell of a RB in HS too, fwiw. Moving from LB to RB worked out ok for Stevie Scott back in the day imo. Stuhoo 1 Quote

Trying a couple end-arounds to a non-Marsh or Becker WR in motion would be a nice wrinkle. Hovadipo and skhoosier2 2 Quote

I’m hoping Khobie’s bone healing is fairly predictable (I think it is) and once it is… he should be ready to roll. He’ll have a little bit of rust and conditioning to fix… but that’s doable. Quote
skhoosier2 Posted Saturday at 06:36 PM Posted Saturday at 06:36 PM Good news. Hoping we survive the next two road games and have both available for OSU Quote
