Just an odd addition.

 I’m fine with carrying a roster of 10 or 11.  But, for me, when 2 of them likely aren’t ready for B1G play that really hinders the team.  Karvala and Manhertz should be ecstatic we are penalizing ourselves in terms of roster build.  Literally no competition for playing time.  My mind is blown. And now we have full staff and a GM concluding this is the way to backfill a roster.

Welcome to IU Justin!

I posted it in the other thread, but UConn's 10th and 11th guys last season had the same profile as Monden. Transfers from IU Indy and Le Moyne. We are spending our resources on the guys higher up the rotation.

Best we can hope for is a great locker room addition and leader by example. Guys like that are needed for culture. Let's hope Mr. Monden can be that.

Honestly that’s gonna be the new norm for most programs.  Until we start winning we won’t have any chance of joining the upper echelon.

No offense intended but every time I see WayneFleekHoosier has posted something my mind now automatically converts it to WayneBleakHoosier. Uncanny how that happens?

Unfortunately “bleak” has been the most appropriate descriptor of IU basketball for the past decade. I like what the staff did with the top of the rotation compared with last season, but the way they’ve been filling out the rest of the roster is a big head scratcher. We received a very favorable schedule, though, so hopefully the main guys stay healthy and we can take advantage of it.
