I think the idea is that they have 5 years, period. They could play every single game or 0 games during those 5 years, but once the 5 years is up they no longer have eligibility.

I think in 2 years, on the same timeliness as our current freshmen he would be worth it if we can get him. Hot motor, 7'7" wingspan and physically just starting to look like he's adding muscle. He can knock down an open shot. 35+ vertical. There's a lot to work with. But know he's not ready to play in the Big Ten. All of our freshman are pretty fragile physically. In 2 years if he's a 6'10 230lb rim protecting lob threat????
