Definitely doesn't help your case that you're an IU fan in any way other than basketball. Basketball has been bad here for decades. Football is king now. IU fans can absolutely lament the decline of basketball but there's little basis to want to trade football success for basketball success, other than emotions. go iu bb, JF87, Stuhoo and 1 other 4 Quote
schoosier Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I blame it on Myles Brand and the trustees since only once out of many have they hired a replacement in the same coaching talent as Knight. The knight rape comment after his last NCAA championship, Ehrlich reprimand, students picketing Ehrlich home; they(President, trustees, media, assistant coaches, and unfortunately some students) were out to wreck him snd our program and they did. When Bobby came home to Assembly Hall I really believed his curse was gone but the recent hires say otherwise. So until we get a top coach like Iowa, Michigan, Iowa State, Nebraska, and including a few more talents; this curse will never be over. Quote

IU football sucked basically from the beginning of time so I have no emotional ties to football. Sure I’m glad they are good but if they weren’t I wouldnt give it all that much thought. But I do have a problem with the fact the AD department continues to screw the pooch on basketball. So earlier you were all concerned about IU athletics as a whole. And now you say you would like to do the worst possible thing for IU athletics. Interesting. Home Jersey and Hovadipo 2 Quote

I got what they paid for. A $4 million loser. Could have offered McCollum 6-7 million and see if he interested or not. And as far as Dolson hiring Cig sure he got lucky and that one paid off. There’s lots of 1 hit wonder bands. As it stands that’s only thing saving Dolson from pitchforks. He’s the idiot who hired Woodson. He’s the one that kept Woodson a year too long, the one who hired the bum we have now, the baseball team stinks again, and women’s basketball is garbage again. It’s a good thing Cig greatly over performed anyone’s expectations because outside of that the Scott Dolson athletics program looks pretty shitty. 1 hour ago, IUguy77 said: Everyone keeps saying that is fact. You fell in love with McCollum after 3 tournament games. The difference between McCollum and DDV was a 4 year point guard. Muskie plays the four 1 Quote

A year ago we were pointing to how UK & UL made such good hires without grabbing a "home run" name, yet a year later UK fans are ready to dump Pope and UL seems stuck in neutral. Somehow I suspect if CDD is going to get us where we want to be, it will take more than a couple more years (I believe Carr has said things to that effect). I believe that Carr was talking about a few years to get the classes balanced out, not to start winning. Quote

The swimming, soccer, and other programs are doing quite well. The CDD hire might not work out, but if you look you should see that it isn't because of a lack of effort or a willingness to spend money. Football, however, is the sport that brings the most attention and by far the most revenue. Alford Bailey 1 Quote

The non-grad, reversible jacket crowd like the dope above is exactly why this fanbase gets the rap that it does. Living in the 80’s and thinking the world revolves around a program that hasn’t been relevant in 30+ years is silly. And much of our administration thought the same until the vision of Dolson/Whitten. We’re lucky to have them. piratehoosier 1 Quote
