Of course I don't believe the current roster is the "absolute unquestionable best that could have been done" and never said that. And why are you now saying I'm silly to say he did everything perfectly since he's gotten here, which I obviously also never said. Come on man, what's with that Like you said, we were definitely talking past each other, legit misunderstanding. All good in my book. HoosierHoopster 1 Quote

They’d prefer, starting this year, to spend big on two to three top-tier players and fill in around them with cheaper role players with more defined roles. In NBA terms, those are your max contracts, a few middle-market players and then a bench filled out with minimum contracts. That’s something I pointed out last spring. I’m not sure why it’s taking college guys so long to catch on. All you had to do was look at other pro leagues. I suspect this is something a guy like Carr will have a good handle on. WayneFleekHoosier Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I wonder if Jalen Haralson will be portaling and if that is a guy DeVries would want. He doesn’t seem like the prototypical DeVries recruit. I love early transfer portal time when it’s recruiting in hyperspeed and ultimate impact. Seems like 4-5 high impact targets will be needed. IUHoosier5 and BGleas 2 Quote

I know I'm speaking with local bias, but if either Jalen Haralson or Tre Singleton have interest in IU, we should be 100% interested. Both have had outstanding freshman seasons and will only get better. Both are athletic and have defensive length for their positions, and both should be able to step out to the perimeter as their games mature. WayneFleekHoosier, Class of '66 Old Fart and Demo 3 Quote
Popular Post Demo Posted 11 hours ago Popular Post Posted 11 hours ago Punting work today and hitting the Missouri Valley Conference qtrs. The friend I’m going with and knows way more about that conference than I do, gave me 3 names to watch for portal purposes: 1) Sam Orme(Belmont)- Carmel kid who’s busted out this year pretty good. Averaging 13 and 5 on 38% from 3. 2 years of eligibility. Given the 2 ‘26 kids, Dorn and, presumably, Sisley can’t imagine a 6’7” wing shooter would be a high priority, but who knows. 2) Jaquan Johnson(Bradley)- averaged 17 and was 1st team all conference and 1st team all defense. Averaged more steals than to’s. 2 years of eligibility. Since Norton was there he feels like at least worth checking into. 3) Drew Scharmowski(Belmont)- The one I really want to see. 6’10” and apparently possibly still growing. Averaged 11/6 with a block and a steal in 19mins a game and was 1st team all conference and 1st team all defense. 2 years of eligibility. My friend loves him. Says he’s a straight up winning player. At minimum, anyone coached by Casey Alexander absolutely knows how to play. That guy is as good a developmental coach as there is. Should be fun. realTomCrean Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Haralson doesn't seem to be a fit for what IU is trying to put together. 25 attempted 3s all year, more TO than AST. What am I missing here BTW Bidunga is a Hoosier in 30 days HoosierHoopster, Stuhoo, WayneFleekHoosier and 4 others 7 Quote

Stuhoo Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Jasai Miles and Nick Dorn took my damn minutes by playing so well! But Trent will be a featured Hoosier plenty of times over the next three years. Good stuff. Quote

He’s close. He does things that help us now. He’s got to get the shooting improved from three but more importantly from the charity stripe. I think athletically he should be playing more but he’s a real liability shooting the ball right now. Rooting hard for Trent! I’m convinced he will work his tail off this off season. hoosierfan6157, IUHoosier5, fwgreenway and 2 others 5 Quote

Lol I kinda see that with Haralson too, but he seems like a kid that will portal imo, not because of him, but because Notre Dame is a wasteland. I think with his skill set and a big and 3 shooters, it would work. He could offer a lot offensively and defensively. IUHoosier5 1 Quote

He is still an 18 year old, and has been asked to do way more than he should by a bad coaching staff. He is a smart, high-culture kid who is represented by his parents, not a professional agent. He is very, very talented, but needs a system and scheme where he can flourish, and that's not ND. RaceToTheTop 1 Quote

Unexpectedflash Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Haralson cant shoot right now but he also has a chance to be a lottery pick and all American next year. Look at his numbers compared to some of the other amazing freshman this and he stacks up very favorably. I’d love him here. If you look at Michigans transfer classes, they are a bunch of former 5 stars. Haralson would be like that for us and I’d much rather him than a mid major WayneFleekHoosier and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote
