Almost the exact same profile as last year’s team if you flip the O and D around. I’m still mystified as to why we had to eliminate everyone from that roster, mostly just Reneau though. If he’s on this team we’re likely closer to 20 wins and in the tourney. He’s the exact type of automatic bucket in the post you could go to in order to break those late, long scoring droughts we go through. I agree. He would of been money on this roster in my opinion. And maybe he was just ready to move on any way...so it may not have mattered. What kills me is this is exactly what we needed last night and for some reason Darian didn't iso Alexis and let him go to work...it seemed to work in the first half. Our offense was pass around the perimeter, drive into our man, pass back to the perimeter, and take a short shot clock (contested) shot.....We have done this all year....at times Lamar is the only one willing to get down the base line and ask for the ball under the rim, but he just kept chucking up bad looks in the second half. Zero adjustments were made last night....with a 9 minute drought from the field. Josh, str8baller and Home Jersey 3 Quote

The thing is for all the talk about “how good we are shooting from the perimeter.” I think Lamar really is the one making the shots outside the perimeter. Dorn I guess too when he was on that hot streak. But I feel like the way the announcers talk about our 3 pt making it just seem we truly are hitting them outside of a guy and a player getting hot for a game or 2 FortWayneHoosier 1 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted Wednesday at 04:05 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:05 PM The defense was abysmal again in conference play. Pretty sad when you are a borderline tournament team and can’t beat a bottom dweller at home. TrueHoosier62 1 Quote
TrueHoosier62 Posted Wednesday at 05:02 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:02 PM Giving up the baseline, again and again and again, was criminal. Launching three, after three after three, instead of working it inside to Alexis, or driving it with Conerway, is just sh*tty game management by the coach. Lately, Tucker looks a lot like a tubby drunk on the court, insistent on making excuses for missed shots while he waits on the next round to arrive. Quote

ronzo4IU Posted Wednesday at 08:27 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:27 PM This team still doesn't understand defensive help rotations and DD was yelling at Alexis because he wasn't rotating over to Martinelli and leaving Enright all alone on a deserted island. Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted Thursday at 09:25 PM Posted Thursday at 09:25 PM I'm just flat out mystified and disgusted with this L in the Hall to NW in a game everyone knew was important and planned for it, the second half collapses are concerning. Now we're definitely looking at must win games. Oh well, I don't have the energy now to watch this stuff daily, just going to hope the guys who beat PU and Wiscy and went into LA and beat UCLA show up Sunday. Whoozhers 1 Quote

Agree Reneau would be a huge help offensively, but he wouldn't do much for our defense / rebounding problems. Think about TJD or even Kel'el Ware under Devries on this roster... that would be a fun team. JF87 and jermhoosierfan 2 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted Saturday at 03:24 AM Posted Saturday at 03:24 AM Do you think this is the first time in history that Northwestern had more top 100 ranked kids out of high school on their roster then IU has on their roster? BannerVille 1 Quote
