Popular Post Stuhoo Posted January 26 Popular Post Posted January 26 With Bray coming back, do you guys realize that the highest usage player we lost to the portal was our 2025 4th best defensive tackle?!!!!!? That is astounding. I mean; good lord I know it was completely fun to ride the all time story of a team to an all time season, but that is crazy. We need to retain people especially successful people to keep the culture. The returning guys even if they didn’t play that much know how to do things and can help guide the new guys. skhoosier2 and 8bucks 2 Quote
Home Jersey Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I REALLY hope Hoover can play like Mendoza and Rourke did here. Wonder how mobile he is? Quote

Psshh; Harris may look scarier than DeAngelo, but it’s guaranteed he won’t be as good. But our defensive line next year? Whoa buddy… that’s a strrrrong group. skhoosier2, Hollywood Mike Miranda, moyemayhem and 1 other 4 Quote

Hovadipo Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Kind of wondering if our 2026 center is Carter Smith. It sounds crazy to move our elite LT inside, but he profiles as an NFL center more so than a tackle and getting some sort of feedback backing that up kind of seems like the only reason he’d come back. I’d put money on him getting moved inside after getting drafted anyway. Bostad got Katic rolling as a center in one offseason and Smith is way more talented. The question then would become who goes to LT but, again, Bostad is one of the best in the business so I’m not worried about it. BtownStrength, Lebowski, Stuhoo and 1 other 4 Quote

Tackles tend to be longer framed and Brunner is 6’5”. Maybe there was a deal with Brunner that his IU transfer included a move to tackle. If so? I’m all for it. Quote

Brunner is interesting as he could fit a few spots. Seems like we’ve done enough to merit a preseason top 5 ranking. Awesome. Let Cig Work. skhoosier2 1 Quote

No idea how Brunner profiles as a tackle. Just doing some draft research and trying to piece things together. I could also be overthinking it. My scenario definitely leaves an odd man out if Brunner isn’t the replacement (between Lynch and Evans), but one thing that would solve is providing a depth OL piece with experience that I don’t feel we currently have. Well that's interesting, thanks for posting. I had heard Hoover had interception issues, but this shows Mendoza with more turnovers. This makes me feel a lot better about that Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 26 Posted January 26 We have what, 6 TEs? All Soph/Freshman. Still surprised at this position. Must like our talent scout/Practice skhoosier2 1 Quote

This makes me feel a lot better about that I had thought Mendoza was sacked a ton too nut the chart suggests Hoover gets sacked more if I am reading correctly Quote
