I think a lot of it is because of Iowa’s defense and their strong focus in the trenches. They definitely get the right players for those various positions.

The end was BS.  Victory formation is designed to make the game official without getting anyone hurt.  The other option is to run it into the line and get someone’s knee blown out.   Complete crap.

Iowa had three timeouts and there was 24 seconds left.  Why wouldn't they use them?  I remember Michigan blowing a game to Michigan State in those circumstances.

Interesting stat:  Iowa has lost their last 12 games against ranked teams; ten of the twelve were on the road.  This was only their second home game against a ranked opponent in five years

Probably an unfair characterization but I'm hard pressed to remember an IU football team that would not have rolled over and played dead in the same scenario as what our team faced today.  Wasn't pretty but the vast majority of people will only see a score and have no idea of just how this game was actually played.

Obviously not a vintage day for IU's offense. But the Hoosiers still had more rushes of 10-plus yards (6) than Iowa had allowed through its first four games (4).
