I think some are looking at this player as immediate help. I don't think that's the case. With the way NIL and transfers are going you have to have backup plans. So o think developing foreign guys with high upside/ potential is smart. There probably least likely to transfer don't cost much or anything. Don't know specifics on foreign players NIL. You have to come up with ways to keep and develop players. Not sure if that's the plan. But maybe.

This is incorrect. We got the 2 Euro players because of NIL/rev share. Without that, they likely would have stayed in Europe to earn money playing but coming to the US to play in college is now a path a lot more of them are looking at since they can make the same or more doing so.

Alexis is a 5. His skillset on offense determines that. He's not a 4 in our offense.

Pretty good read with information on his actual recruitment piece that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Also says he has a 7’2” wingspan and a 9’ standing reach which if true probably does make him legitimately 6’10”-6’11”. Side note: haven’t gotten into the kid yet but there is no such thing as a “baby Jokic.” Jokic is singular and calling any kid baby Jokic is idiotic.

Yeah, the fact that he’s good with the idea of redshirting in the current landscape speaks pretty highly of both him and the people around him. Like it a lot.

I mean it's his agent saying that haha, would take it with a grain of salt.

Get him in the weight room.   Teach him how to run.   Explosion drills.  He has the basketball acumen but right now he would have no chance in the Big Ten.  In the post, he reminds me of Angel Reese except he makes shots.   He needs time and coaching.   2-3 years....patience with this one.

Angel Reese who made shots would be pretty good.  But that’s a pretty big thing

Acimovic is a 6-foot-11, 225-pound center from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He turned 18 in March and has four years of college eligibility remaining.

Seems like this was a Drew Adams specfic get.  Beat out Illinois and Florida it seems among other high majors.

Seems like he MAY be a bit smaller than listed according to reports,  but a highly skilled big that's probably a year away from being a real contributor. 

Sounds like it may be tough to get him to campus before the Puerto Rico trip.  Has played in the U19 pro league in Europe. 

Probably was the likely back up plan if Goode was denied.

Solid addition this late it seems, will likely be back next year.

I’m sorry but I never saw or thought of Angel Reese in the post. When watching those highlights. Now, maybe you’ve seen him play and I haven’t. But angel reese that makes shots?

Footwork not good.  Awkward and not overly athletic.   But he makes shots.  She does not.  Was just trying to be funny...not literal.
