It seems to me that Dolson preferred DeVries to McCollum because of his lengthy D1 experience.  He wanted someone he knew was ready and didn’t have to learn on the job.

I also think DeVries was always going to pick IU over Iowa simply due to our resources… this wasn’t a decision DDV made this week.

I believe you have it backward. DeVries said yes first and McCollum needed time to think about it.

 We have a group of people who are insatiable.In fact I knew what several reactions would be before they posted. I don't know how this will turn out but I'm glad the search is over and will back the coach and hope for great results.

Sounds like Frazier would need to come along with him for him to follow.  He committed to WV because of Frazier.   Frazier can recruit however I personally don’t see him ever wearing anything with an IU logo on it.

Some people definitely didn't handle the situation well. That's been the case in multiple places.
