Still dont see the harm in letting an assistant take the lead and try to inject some life and something different to finish this out.

Seems obvious now that would have a better chance of sparking some energy than helping Woody go out with his head held high.

The CBS full court press for Woody is bizarre. They’re slobbering like he’s been our coach for 15 years. Pretty embarrassing narrative control to be honest. Not once acknowledging that maybe he just didn’t meet the standards. They could do this by saying how he cares so much and wants IU to succeed, instead they’re acting like we have a retiring hall of famer lol

Getting Bobby back to SSAH was kinda viewed as a healing and uniting of the fan base.  Now here we are today and the fan base is far more fractured than it ever was.  And sadly, I'm sensing we're going to see a major fracture among our former players but how can May, Downing, Wittman, I. Thomas, etc., believe in their hearts that Woody should remain as coach.  They played for and were coached by a legend and how they can support Woody is mind boggling.

I don't think he's been getting announced for quite some time.  At the very  least, I don't think they show his picture on the big screen when he does enter.

You might be right but I’d bet it’s the minutes spent in bars and restaurants that have caught up with him.
