I think that Woody is here because they will let the whole season play out.   Then they will evaluate the whole.

And putting in an assistant as temporary HC is just asking for trouble from the perspective of the AD.  What happens if the assistant does well with the team? Does that make the AD look bad?   Do you have to hire the assistant? 

What fans want has very little to do with where we are with a new HC search...and the current coach's status.  Unless you have lots of cash to help.  

As a fan...I say negotiate a buyout now.  And dump him.  But make clear that whoever is the acting is not guaranteed anything.  Provided, however, that you have a guaranteed...experienced...exceptional college basketball coach that feelers all but signed a new contract for after the end of both teams' games this season.

Yep, that’s what I told my buddy that I got to place the bet. I think they come out inspired and win or they throw in the towel and get spanked by 27
