He’s got a point as much as I love it. But if you talk, you got to walk and in the biggest game, he did not walk the talk.

Meh.......recruits love it.  Recruits like swagger.

A lot of guys hate Deion Sanders, but Colorado has turned around pretty damn quick as well (just not as fast as IU).

World’s biggest Georgia fan for the next week. Notre Dame fans are the absolute worst.

Why would you root for Georgia? It would reinforce the SEC superiority narrative and make us look even worse than ND did.

Exactly why WOULDN'T IU have attempted an onside kick in the last game of the season in a playoff game?

I agree, and simply to add to the discussion, Freeman probably questioned Cig’s decision to punt down three scores with 10ish minutes to go so to see him become aggressive at the end of the game likely perplexed him further. Add in the pregame comments and Freeman’s handshake with Cig is unsurprising.

I live in northern Indiana and tbh hate ND more than Purdue which may blasphemy to some but I love that the football team let me forget about the basketball coach we hand for few months. I can’t wait to have a great basketball coach next year and to follow the football team next year which I believe will have another great year!

We shall see how this all plays out, after having the night to sleep on this one, the one thing that came to my mind was....if Notre Dame doesn't lose that game to Northern Illinois, they are the #2 team in the country. We played like crap last night but maybe Notre Dame is just that good? Still very surprised with all that time to prepare, we didn't have a better offensive game plan, it will be interesting to see how Georgia attacks their defense, I bet they learned a ton last night!

I choose to look at it this way…. IU was a bit shell shocked buy the INT and quick, long ND TD. It gave them great momentum and confidence and made us tight and frustrated. I wanted Rourke to move about more and possibly make more quick, short route passes. We started looking decent a quarter too late. I think ND was a bit cocky late and we took advantage. If we had another half a quarter, I think things get very interesting. JMO

GO IU!

This seems a little odd to me ...

After last night's game, I'm on YouTube and what pops up? A quick video from Rich Eisen -- former ESPN dude who hosts a daily radio show and works for the NFL Network -- trashing us, trashing last night's game and trashing the CFP committee for including us. (FWIW -- he's a Michigan alum).

And he cries about poor, mistreated Alabama sitting home -- which is nonsense, considering they lost to Vandy and got curb-stomped by Oklahoma.

Not sure why he felt the need to post the "bonus" video. Are people really clamoring for Rich Eisen content? Were people waiting with baited breath for his reaction to the game? He couldn't wait till his next daily show to shart all over us?

Just seemed kinda ... weird.

I can't help but wonder how differently the game would have gone if Rourke didn't throw a pick in the red zone on that drive right after the Ponds interception in the 1st quarter.

Confidence is everything when your team is less talented and has to play with a chip on its shoulder, and a TD there would have definitely given us confidence.

Frustrating.

Though it was very early, I definitely thought that was a turning point.

We had first down at the ND 17. Rourke throws a pick, and the next play is the 98-yard TD run.

Pretty much a 14-point swing there.

That was an absolutely huge momentum swing! On the road and a team that is new to this “winning” thing. I think that was ballgame. the pick was bad but the ensuing 98 yard td run was the dagger through the heart.

…college game day right now!!! SHUT UP KIRK HERBSTUPID!!! Basically Sinai’s IU had now business being that field, let alone in the game. I gather he felt like Alabama or a few others should have taken their place.

They’re all tools except for Pat and Rece.  ESPN owns the SEC and ACC and will always hammer that they are superior to everyone else.  Even Kirk and Ohio State alum knows where he gets his paycheck from.

Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to win, but I wasn’t worried about us losing. Amazing season…

What I was worried about was us losing badly, playing terrible, and keeping this narrative alive that we didn’t belong. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a driven agenda to crap on a team. That narrative was set before the game even started, and our Punting, tackling, game management, etc. surely didn’t help us any.

But the reality is…We went 11-1 (before last night) in the “second” best P4 conference and curb stomped everyone along the way. With a roster not as talented as ND, we lost by 10 on the road in a difficult environment while playing like dog crap to the team a lot of pundits have picked to win the whole dang thing.

The media better dog walk every other CFP team that loses outside the spread and call them unworthy…but we know they won’t. Let them hate, let the chip continue to build and come back hungry next year.

I didn’t leave the game hating Notre Dame fans. Actually, the crew I sat around were a great time and we casually talked ball the entire game. I mostly left confused at the whole thing. The atmosphere was honestly just weird. Memorial is orders of magnitude louder and more rowdy than ND Stadium. It felt a bit like going to mass? If the PA wasn’t playing music, the wife and I could have regular, room volume conversation pretty much the entire game.

For being a bunch of IU basketball fans, I figured they’d know how to create a raucous environment for a big game, but those people were lame as hell. Stadium was very nice/clean/cool, not a bad seat in the house. You just very easily could’ve taken a nap in it.
