multiple tweets say Nebraska

Recently? As in today? I remember seeing that a few days ago but see articles from earlier today saying he's closing in on a decision.

Zyn is backtracking now.

Followed closely by:

It was so widely reported that he did commit to Nebraska though. I wonder if he signed? That would make this very interesting.

I’m confused by the Pat Coogan reference.

Yeah, Coogan’s in the boat. Not sure if Zyn just got confused or what.

Edit: that tweet is from 1/28, so before Coogan committed. We’re good lol.

1 million for OL would be fine with me. Just so much is dependent if a QB or running back have enough time to move or throw.

As scarce as OL is in CFB right now and with the rev share adding $15M to team payrolls this season, $1M doesn't seem crazy for a 13 game starter on last season's runner-up team.

I'm starting to get pretty comfortable with the OL room. We've actually upgraded and depth is finally getting there. Front five depth is a core necessity to every successful program from high school to the NFL and everything in between. And I hope we're able to land more 'upper talent' out of high school. I'm on cloud nine folks! I never thought in my life time I would see a day where IUFB is making all the moves I've been dreaming about.

I hope this is a great year of development for the underclassmen and juniors. A lot of the line will have to be replaced again next year and it's easier to do that if the non-starters are ready to be starters rather than having to rely on the portal every year.

I think we'll always be utilizing the transfer portal. That's just the way CFB is now. Just so long as depth and development is there we should be golden.

Yea.  On that note IIRC Cig wants portal to come down a bit (not saying it will go away, it won’t) and HS to pick up a bit.  ‘26 I think we’ll see that continue to happen as the staff has now had the time required to form relationships with high school players and the programs/coaches.

The more a program can develop internally the better — cheaper than the portal and better team continuity.
