Class of '66 Old Fart

IUBB vs Louisville - Wednesday, 11.27.24 @ noon on ESPN

Recommended Posts

Pretty ugly half. Louisville is not a great team, better than last season certainly, but not impressive. A team with more of a pulse would have us down 20 right now. Not gonna be easy to dig out of this hole if the shooting doesn’t improve. I’d like to see more tucker and less Gallo.

I had a bad feeling about this game after Tennessee beat Baylor, largely on the back of Lanier, who played terribly against us. Not trying to discredit that exhibition win, just acknowledging the reality one of their best players did not contribute in that game nearly as much as he will on average this year. Not calling it a complete false positive, it’s November, lot of season to improve. The difference between IU and the top 10 teams is very apparent.

We averaged a turnover a minute in the first 8 minutes of the game.  Still not boxing out.  Still not guarding the 3 point line.  This is what poor coaching looks like.

NBA coach with mediocre biddy basketball results.  Tough to watch. Can IU please hire a college coach.

Rice looked lost and Hepburn was killing him. Carlyle always looks lost. Galloway has played his worst game in a half I’ve ever seen from him. Tucker just wants to shoot midrange shots all day and not do anything else. I’ve been watching tough, dawg guards all week and we still don’t have one.

IU looks like they just met each other a couple of hours ago and decided to play a pick up game!

That's what I told my brother, the Louisville fan, still remains to be seen if they can play as a team.  He said UL was good at 3's so I guess we were both right!  :(
