Not sure if Banks would have been successful here, but he was the only one listed who i didn't want to see go. Had all the tools but didn't put them together yet. I hope he finds success at Tulane. thebigweave, tkbbn and RaceToTheTop 3 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted November 7, 2024 Author Posted November 7, 2024 Logan Duncomb left IU after the 22-23 season and transferred to Xavier. In October of 2023 he stated he was stepping away from basketball to focus on his physical and mental health. He appears on Winthrop's roster now but did not play in their opener. He played with too wide of a base --- dribbled way away from his body and stance was way too wide to move successfully. It's something that Troy Williams did as a freshman, but Williams was more talented and stance got better as he got older. MemphisHoosier 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Tamar Bates (Mizzou): Started and played 31 minutes in a season-opening 83-75 loss at Memphis. Had 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting (3-7 on 3s). Added 3 assists and 3 rebounds. (I had the Tigers in that one!) Didn't realize Lander was still playing. Must be using his COVID year. LamarCheeks Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Saw that Logan Duncomb is on Winthrop's roster, but did not play in an opening 60-point victory over Piedmont. Since everybody plays -- sometimes even the managers (LOL) -- in a win that big, I wonder if he's still having heath issues. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Also ... Jerome Hunter (Xavier): Played 20 minutes, had 2 points and two rebounds in an opening 78-69 win over Texas Southern. Hope he's finally healthy now. Quote

NCAA must have given him a second redshirt year on top of the 2021-22 free Covid year. 2018-19: redshirt 2019-2O IU 2020-21 IU 2021-22 Xavier 2022-23 Xavier 2023-24 missed the full year (believe the same health concerns he had as a freshman)…NCAA must have given him a second redshirt 2024-25 Xavier He turns 25 in December. DChoosier Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Jeronimo was scoreless tonight in a game Maryland blew out the opposition 84-43. In three games JG has played 14 minutes a game but has only scored a total of 4 points (2-5 from the field). Quote
Demo Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Hell of a start for Kaleb. Happy for him as well as Ron Hunter. Interesting to see how this plays all the way out. Watched several of his HS games and thought he had a chance to be really good and then obviously it didn’t happen at all. Ya said when he got the job here that you had to recruit a certain kind of kid because this environment isn’t for everyone. Judging by how uncomfortable Banks always looked, maybe it was as simple as that. go iu bb, MemphisHoosier, Home Jersey and 1 other 4 Quote

Dave from Dayton Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Trayce Jackson-Davis and Zach Edey face off for the first time as professionals on Friday night at 10 ET. The Golden State Warriors vs the Memphis Grizzlies on ESPN. As far as faces go...Edey does not win that kind of contest between those two. Can TJD and the Warriors pull Edey away from the basket? "Jenkins stressed that Edey is “definitely not a finished product.” Yet, the Grizzlies (7-5) enter Friday’s game against the Golden State Warriors (9-2) with tangible results that validate their clairvoyance about Edey’s trajectory. Edey has thrived as a traditional center while ranking third in his rookie class in scoring (11.3 points per game), first in rebounds (6.8) and fifth in blocks (0.9). Edey also has grown as a so-called stretch five while ranking third in his rookie class in 3-point shooting (57.1%), defending smaller guards and running in transition." Per https://athlonsports.com/nba/memphis-grizzlies/zach-edey-rookie-potential It is a good article on Edey, if we even care. Quote
pappy1865 Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 I've not kept up on the nba outside of catching a few Pacers games. How is TJD looking? Thought I read a few weeks back he was starting for a few games? Sent from my SM-G986U using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

He is a great fit for the Warriors but when they put Draymond at the 5 he doesn't have as big of a role. He is 9th in mpg for them. Dave from Dayton and pappy1865 2 Quote
