Kyler Staley -

BREAKING: Indiana defensive lineman Makail Kamara, linebacker Aiden Fischer, and defensive back D'Angelo Ponds were named to First Team All-Big Ten Defense

I was really hoping to Walker or West break into the 2nd or 3rd team - both were incredibly deserving.

Wait, so FCS kids can excel at the High Major level?  Finebaum may stroke out.

Only at "lesser" High Major level like the B1G. Not in the almighty SEC where even losses are wins.

Congrats!
All-Big Ten Honorable Mention Offense: Justice Ellison, Zach Horton, Carter Smith
Defense: CJ West, Jailin Walker, James Carpenter
Special Teams: Mark Langston

Considering that Zach Horton may be one of the ten best football players in the B1G at ANY position, that is laughably bad.

Honorable ******* mention?!!? Good lord.

Warren over Horton? Sure. Basically a lock. Loveland? LOL, based on what he'll do at the combine or what he did with JJ I guess? Whatever.

BUT WHO THE F**K ARE TERRANCE FERGUSON AND MAX KLARE?

True So. Ponds.....hopefully he sticks around for 2 more because of his size but I think an NFL team will draft him high after next year

Combined first, second, and third team:

  • Oregon 8
  • OSU 8
  • Iowa 6 (3 on 1st team)
  • PSU 3
  • IU 3
  • USC 3
  • UM 3

If we only we had a successful season like Iow.... I just can't.

What am I missing? IU had 6 total by what I'm counting

It's offense only.

I would add that some are being counted double by Stuhoo. McLaughlin from OSU, for example, is on both the 1st team (coaches) and 2nd team (media) which he is counting as 2.

That wasn't my point. I agree that IU was under-represented on the offensive side. My point was that it wasn't as bad as it at first looks.

IU has an average of 2.5 players on the teams which seems low for one of the best offenses in the league. I guess that's a testament of how good the coaching staff is since they're doing more with less.

Ouch!

Matt Hayes = Paul Finebaum's illegitimate son?

or maybe Lane Kiffin's long-lost cousin?

Funny how he mentions Ole Miss' "three one-possession" losses, then casually mentions our 23-point loss at O$U. But he certainly can't take a deeper dive into that loss, can he? Doesn't want to point out that three scores came: after a punter dropped a snap late in the first half; on a punt return with at least three illegal blocks and a score in the final minutes when O$U had lined up in victory formation.
