I was sure they were gonna land him. He wanted the Hood-Schifino role so much. His game wasn’t actually all that similar but he clearly saw himself as that guy. That would be a massive start. Add a strong scoring wing, then find value in the rest. Things could turn around very quickly.

My next layer would be to find a tandem of nasty immovable but reasonably affordable centers to rotate in and then blow the bank on the best wing money can buy. After that Mustaf at the 2 and Harris as the first guard off the bench sounds pretty good. 

An absolute bucket getter at the 3 would be icing on the cake. 

For some reason I think we're going to get pretty close to something like this......

I could absolutely get on board with a roster like this. Focus on some dogs that rebound and defend as well. Get some guys with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove, not guys that feel like they’ve made it because of a big payday.

You know i do find it interesting that for a system that obviously values the 3 highly we havent been connected with many deadeye shooters other than i guess Olsen. Harris apparently can shoot but hasn’t in college. Mustafs shot is very ugly and Burton was pretty good from 3 two years ago but was off to a slow start last year. One of the things i was surprised about last year was just how often we had 3 or more non shooters on the court at a time especially with how streaky everyone outside Lamar was

Solid group.  My biggest concern is at backup center.  We always seem to struggle with the fouls and no back up.

I think it's probably an ambitious list but fun to think of the possibilities while we wait. And totally agree... feels like a good day to start some good news for the weekend.

Think we'd all be pretty happy if come Monday we have one of either Mustaf or Harris + Burton and Olsen on board.

What I don't understand is that everyone knows we are desperate for some talent, so we have to overpay, except for our staff. Agents know this. I feel like we are penny pinching sometimes when it is time, or maybe that was just the case for Estellia. But we had an in for him, we did everything to land him, and then we balked at the price. 

Sherril sure does have a lot of schools on his list for a do-not-contact tag. Duke and Michigan St scare me for him.

behind a paywall but just reported he did a zoom last night and two head coaches are expected to meet with him today. I know Mustaf on campus but any chance Devries is one of the coaches?
