I was the one being a smart @$$. They never entered the portal, but the last 20 pages of the thread are about them. There's nothing else to talk about though....so it's not a big deal to me. Just thought it was funny.

Neither of them entered the portal which pretty much says that if they get another year they are probably 99% going to IU. I assume they both spoke with DD.

Will they be eligible? Who knows…..it’s the NCAA

I don't know about Trilly, but Rabby is saying he's being told Wilkins is unlikely for IU. Duke and Maryland are involved and both still have plenty of NIL, I guess. Duke is Duke and Maryland has an assistant coach who played for Wilkins' AAU team.

Right, I am having a hard time making the numbers add up based on what some others are said to be paying players.  Article I read today say Cooper Flag got like 4 mil in NIL.

I’m not sure we are top-10 spend.  In a recent interview Rabby had us #10-15.  That “feels” more right to me, but that’s just my sense to take or leave, I could be wrong.

Now, the reason may be we haven’t found enough players we want to be aggressive for in the ‘25 portal and we are staying disciplined (that’s fine and good).  Perhaps CDD wants to save some NIL for ‘26 players.  Maybe donors are tapped out.  I don’t know.  We’ll have to wait and see to find out.  I am pretty confident CDD has a plan.

Unless maybe he really wants one of those players that has entered the NBA draft. Even still, we are not going to land them if we don’t have the money to compete with other schools that seem to already have a full loaded roster and supposedly still have plenty of cash to burn.  You’re right we’ll just have to wait and see what happens!

Has there been any info on Curtis recently?  Is it possible Coach is waiting to see if we get waivers on both Goode and Leal prior to taking on a new recruit?  Is there any possibility that we have 14 and either Goode or Leal is a walk on status.

I think there’s a lot of variables , but one thing I did catch was Rabby corrected Eric saying top 15ish NIL instead of top 10 on their podcast the other day

I mean…Duke is probably the most successful basketball program in modern times and they have a wealthy alumni base. I’d fully expect them to be top 5 if not #1 in basketball NIL spend. How many times have we went head to head with Duke for a guy and won out, historically? 
 

It’d be weird for IU to be top 10 last year and not this year. Funds don’t seem to be an issue for the football team either.  
 

CDD spent the money how he spent it. Gotta assume the guy has a plan.
