We’ll be lucky to get by Penn State.  No way we beat Nebraska. It’s over Friday at best.

Crazy thing is if we had finished the comeback against Northwestern last month, IU would have been in a 3 way tie for 4th and had the tiebreakers over them and Wisconsin.  That's how weak the Big Ten is this season.  This bad IU team was a close 4 point loss away from having a double bye.

Torvik Team Cast says it isn't. Even 3 isn't vs. the top teams we could play. 4 is good enough to get us an 11 seed at large but obviously that would give us the autobid as tournament winner in reality.

What about three? Beat Penn State, Nebraska, Illinois, and lose in the championship game. 21-14 with a top 25 strength of schedule.

That did it (barely) two years ago. Any chance that helps our NET enough to barely get us there again?

It would push them close but I just don’t think they can get their numbers to where they need to be.  Beating Penn St isn’t going to move the needle.  Nebraska is a tourney team but bottom half of the bracket team.    Illinois win would be the one that would move the needle the most.  Always depends on what others do around the bubble but the metrics for IU are just too bad right now
