Hornsby Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Agreed. He spent a fortune in the portal (i.e. had a blank check) and this is the best he can do. He doesn't recruit. What magic does anyone think he's going to find to ever do appreciably better? I'm fine with letting him coach out the season IF it means we grab a 'plum' replacement. Yep I'm just not going to get excited because his 5-6 six million dollar played a close game. Or is it 6-5 due to the moral victory. I suppose he is just doing his job but I don't think so Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk

It's some of the scummiest behavior possible. Rant and rave on your own page and forums like this all you want, but leave the players and family out of it. You are mentally unwell if you are sending messages to anybody you don't personally know, especially a negatively charged DM. 7 minutes ago, WayneFleekHoosier said: 100%. So much of this. Imo, that’s the #1 reason for the message boards. It’s a place where fans can critical. I don’t even like general negative stuff on the socials at all, let alone DMs and general player attacks. I wish this sentiment would be shared but as I said earlier low IQ and low class individuals haven’t been taught proper behavior. Which is the main reason players and families need to ignore that crap. These messages aren’t coming from people that deserve the time of day. Not a twitter or Instagram guy so I can't comment expertly on etiquette but I would guess she has posted positives marks regarding her fathers coaching and, if so, I would say she is open to polite requests from those that disagree with her. Now if she does not actively post about her fathers performance that would be different and weird. MikeRoberts 1
Hornsby Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Reading alot of posts like this today. So does losing by less than 10 Tuesday count as a moral victory? We would be 7-5 and he would be doing his job. know it’s results that matter most, but this team is close. We’ve lost close ones to very good teams in Maryland and Purdue. We beat a good (per the NET) team in OSU.If we’d have closed out the last two, we’d comfortably be in the field.Badgers aren’t great and they do lose games in their building. Win that one and then take care of business at home against Michigan and UCLA. This team can be a 6-7 seed in the NCAA. And then who knows. The talent is there to make a run b Reactions:George.Smalley, All4You and Jgcarrin25Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk

I do have a problem lying about it and throwing his players under the bus. I also have an issue when down 3 with nearly 3 seconds on the clock, launching the in bound pass to the other baseline where 4 purdue players are waiting for it. Woodson has FOUR YEARS worth of throwing players under the bus. He cannot take responsibility for anything in a program of which he is "king". Arrogant. Incompetent. Entitled. Lazy.

Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk I get that, heck we are all disappointed for the entire year. We have been let down by the players, coaching staff and the administration for not firing this clown. But once the season has transpired and fans are now not expecting much, we they play hard and compete, they think of that as a moral victory because that’s about as good as this year will get until this clown is gone. I am not for moral victories myself because we shouldn’t be thinking that this year with amount of money they spent, but some still want something to cheer about because we haven’t had much! tkbbn 1

He did it last year, too... between Feb 27 and Mar 14 he won 5 straight - the last for of the B1G season and the first game of the B1G tournament... and followed that up with the double tech blowout loss to Nebraska... to finish 19-14 (10-10) and a 6th place B1G tie. Five more weeks and we can pull the plug on the Mediocre Mike Woodson experiment. thebigweave 1

Despite how this years has turned out this team is still a bubble team. While fans wanted to be contending for a B1G title (6 games out in the loss column now) they still have a shot at the tourney still. Even with these losses IU is still in that first 4 out, next 4 out range. If they win their home games fans wanting them to make the tourney might get their wish. It’s not like they are that far off from being projected into the field. Again fan base was promised and expected to compete for titles not grind their way into the tourney. Which is why a change is most certainly going to happen at the end if the year HoosierHoopster and Muskie plays the four 2
