Screw "mak[ing] it sound like not a firing". I  know that Scott Dolson would never do it, but Woodson deserves a full scorched earth dismissal for his hubris, his record and what he's done to Indiana University, the school that he supposedly loves.

No way Woodson goes quietly after missing the tourney two years in a row. He will want another year to get us in the tourney so he can say he did our job. His ego is so massive he needs to be able to say I brought IU back.

Unfathomable at the time is correct. Davis' last year we were a 6th seed in the tournament that was ousted in the 2nd round. If Woodson accomplished that, he would think he's top coach in the BIG.

With that said, this is different. Woodson has Buckner backing him which means it's not going to be a foregone conclusion that he is terminated at year's end....it's going to take major cojones from someone if a push for a change is made.

Yup... I am not 100% convinced it's a foregone conclusion Woody is done after this year.

Hope like hell... everything indicates it should be... but sometimes @#!$ that just doesn't make a lick of sense still happens...

I think Buckner's term will be up. If so he shouldn't be an issue.

I could be wrong but From what I read, it’s not up until June, unless IU waits to fire MW after that, it still could be an issue.

I am an Indiana fan above all else, but I do enjoy watching college basketball. 

IU is nowhere near the top 25 and probably not even a top 50 team to watch.

I unfortunately feel the same way. If he manages to get this team in the tourney I will actually be pretty surprised if we let him go. If he misses the tourney with this roster, I would assume it’s a foregone conclusion he gets fired. Wish I had more hope lol

Honestly, part of me thinks if he misses this year, he could still have enough pull to get everyone to double down on one more go. If that happens, you can find me at my local mental institution

IU gave him a million dollar raise after winning one tournament game in two years. We really have no reason to believe he’s gone absent missing the tournament again. The expectations are so in the gutter for iubb that “you can’t fire the guy who took you to three tournaments in four years” will be the talking point.

Again, Buckner will be a lame duck with only about 3 months left in his term.

My brother in Christ, I fear we crossed that rubicon by hiring Michael Dean Woodson as Head Coach (pains me to admit). 

Here's to hoping IU begins to climb out of the depths of hell this offseason. We all know where it starts.
