If by those “same people” he means the University President and AD… yeah, duh. It’s part of their job to remove underperforming coaches. As for it being “disrespectful” to announce midseason … that should have been considered necessary for a variety of reasons. Plenty of blame to go around.

Normally I’d agree, But his buyout suggests he wanted to see what happens at IU this offseason.  UM caved bc they were so desperate to get back on track.  He turned down Louisville due to the buyout clause. 

I see it different. We wanted dusty but let's face it he was a risk. Michigan offered a conservative deal knowing they will have the opportunity to just up his deal if he is successful. I think they will do that soon but may wait to see what happens in big tournament? Dusty knew Michigan would be a good gig if he can succeed and had confidence he could knowing the big money will come and a better deal and bigger buyout. That has been my take and it makes sense to me. Having a small buyout hoping iu opens seems like a huge gamble. If we get him I am OK with it but him and iu would be taking a gigantic risk imo. I wouldn't leave a job that I have a real shot at succeeding to leave and go to a major crap shoot like iu is currently. I know he could do good here but it's not automatic

Currently 3 pm EST and nothing official ,I have strong feeling if they don't have an announcement soon tomorrow is gonna be ugly .No idea how a person can not notice booing in a game and thinks it just about the players ,also his hearing must be bad to not hear  fire Mike Woodson  .  He may have been super back in the day  but I know I don't have any memories of him playing I can't be the only one .

A lot changes in 4 years. The Celtics won a championship. The team is for sale, new owners might want to go in a different direction, and they have to unload some players here soon due to contracts, so going to be a rebuild. Kids are older, son is in college in Indiana, parents are older and live in Indiana. Might want to be closer to them. His contract is up in June anyway. 

I think the new ownership angle is bigger than people are making of it.

I may sound dumber than usual asking this question, but can I get a refresher on Ferguson? Is he just a big time booster? I am going to assume he is not the brightest guy when it comes to college basketball if he would throw a hissy because we gotta fire Woody...

He is woodsons godfather and they guy who got him the six million dollars to buy a team. He is a complete cancer on the program and a huge reason for this current mess.
